Job Summary
CT Technologist (PRN) performing CT procedures per department guidelines to deliver high-quality diagnostic images, while maintaining ALARA and providing a supportive patient experience. Responsibilities include independent operation of imaging equipment, infection control, patient history screening, order verification with two unique patient identifiers, patient education using AIDET, ensuring patient comfort and safety, administering contrast per protocol with venipuncture when applicable, proper patient positioning and shielding, image review for diagnostic quality, accurate documentation and finalization in RIS/PACS, emergency response and life-support readiness, and coordinating daily workflows to support department operations. Positions at Wellstar Douglas (Douglasville, GA) and Pineville, NC locations; healthcare team collaboration, compliance, and ongoing education through Wellstar CareerCare program are highlighted.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology
- ARRT-R (Radiography)
- ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
