Job Summary
CT Technologist I operates CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images in a hospital setting, prepares and positions patients, verifies orders, administers contrast per safety protocols, and collaborates with radiologists and healthcare teams to deliver timely results. Responsibilities include quality control of CT equipment, patient safety and comfort, documentation of clinical history, assisting with interventional CT procedures, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked work area. Requires state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist, CT certification or eligibility within six months, and BCLS within 90 days. Preferred ARDMS/ARRT Radiographer and 1–2 years of clinical radiology experience; 2–4 years in an acute care hospital is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state
- CT - Computed Tomography certification or eligibility to obtain within six (6) months of hire
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire
- (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer preferred
- 1-2 years of clinical experience acquired through an accredited radiologic sciences program required
- 2-4 years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care hospital setting preferred
