CT Technologist - PRN - Edmond

Job Summary
Perform routine and complex CT examinations, applying established protocols while adjusting techniques based on patient condition and clinical indication. Prepare patients for procedures, correlate clinical history with physician-ordered exams, and safely administer contrast per protocol. Recognize basic imaging artifacts, implement corrective measures, and effectively communicate with patients, families, and the care team. Accurately transfer images to designated systems, complete technical documentation, and prepare studies for physician reporting. Conduct operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfection, and basic equipment maintenance. Document procedures in EMR/PACS and actively participate in continuing education and professional development initiatives. This PRN position requires a minimum of 2 shifts per month. Candidates must possess at least one year of CT experience, hold current Basic Life Support certification, and maintain ARRT(RT)(CT) certification.
Required Qualifications
- PRN positions require a minimum of 2 shifts/month
- Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT
- Completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program is accepted in lieu of other educational requirements
- At least 1 year of CT experience
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
- ARRT(RT)(CT) certification
- Solid knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge of CT imaging principles
- Knowledge of radiologic terminology
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
- Knowledge of and ability to apply HIPAA guidelines and standards
- Ability to prioritize and independently complete clinical and non-clinical work assignments with limited direction
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in stressful situations
- Displays consistency and dependability by reporting to work as scheduled
- Ability to be sensitive to patients' physical and psychological needs
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes
