Job Summary
Perform computerized tomographic radiographs using clinical reasoning to prioritize exams, escalate concerns, and ensure patient safety through strict adherence to protocols and red rules. Educate patients prior to scanning, conduct necessary pre/post procedure screenings, and validate exam orders while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow. Maintain clinical competence by documenting orientation progress, staying current on technology and protocol manuals, and reporting safety issues regarding equipment or supplies. Support student educational programs and foster a therapeutic environment that promotes comfort, healing, and cultural sensitivity across all patient interactions.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT is required
- Must have a NM Computed Tomography License (NMCT) or NM Computed Tomography Provisional License (NMPCT)
- Current BLS is required
