Job Summary
CT Technologist responsibilities include performing computerized tomographic radiographs according to established practices and procedures, reviewing exams for clinical appropriateness, prioritizing exams, and communicating critical information. The role supports orientation and credential maintenance, ensures timely renewal of credentials, and may perform general radiology or lab testing as required. Uses clinical reasoning to manage imaging with adherence to evidence-based guidelines, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient flow, and promotes a compassionate environment. The position involves educating patients prior to scanning, coordinating with other departments to optimize exam efficiency, conducting safety checks, and staying current with protocol changes. Proficiency with the EPIC electronic charting system and adherence to safety, quality, and ethical standards are required, as well as the ability to participate in ongoing learning and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT is required
- Must have a NM Computed Tomography License (NMCT) or NM Computed Tomography Provisional License (NMPCT)
- Current BLS is required
- Education: Associate Degree
