CT Technologist - PGA

Job Summary
Perform CT scans according to established protocols and physician orders, preparing patients by explaining exams and addressing concerns. Ensure proper patient positioning and image quality while administering contrast media as required. Monitor patients during procedures for adverse reactions and operate and maintain CT equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed. Adhere to radiation safety principles and ALARA standards, accurately documenting patient information in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year clinical experience in CT
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT[R]) by ARRT
- Advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or CT registry eligible
- Must possess and maintain a current, active, unrestricted license in the state of Texas
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varying workloads
- Familiarity with PACS and EMR systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize normal vs. abnormal findings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to assist and position patients, including lifting up to 50 lbs. with assistance
- Physical stamina to stand for hours, bend, lean, squat, and/or sit as needed throughout the day
- Manual dexterity to operate equipment and computer systems
- Good vision and hearing for accurate assessment of images and patient communication
Desired Qualifications
- Prior CT experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging setting
