CT Technologist - Part Time

Job Summary
Perform CT procedures to acquire digital images for diagnosis and treatment, planning and executing scans based on clinical criteria and established protocols. Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems while maintaining knowledge of multiple systems across various locations. Execute advanced CTA imaging including carotid, head, vertebral, and cardiac studies, as well as CT Interventional Procedures. Ensure patient preparation, positioning, and immobilization while applying protective shielding and selecting correct technical factors. Maintain protocols aligned with Image Gently Guidelines and monitor dose data to notify users when preset levels are exceeded. Work a rotation schedule of 32 weekly hours under general supervision of the Radiologist.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program
- Certified Radiology Technologist within 12 months
- Basic Life Support Certification
- ARRT certification
- Knowledge of all major organ systems and vascular systems for Thoracic, Abdominal, Pelvic, Neuro systems and Muscular Skeletal
- Knowledge of pharmacology
- Knowledge of physiology
- Knowledge of physics
- Ability to operate different CT Systems at multiple locations
- Knowledge of Image Gently Guidelines
- Ability to interpret technical factors to increase quality or speed of scan
- Ability to obtain CT images according to established protocols
- Ability to ensure patient is properly prepared, positioned, immobilized, and protective shielding used when applicable
- Ability to select correct technical factors
- Ability to perform CT Interventional Procedures
- Ability to perform CTA imaging including Carotid, Head, Vertebral, Run-Offs, PE critical bolus timing, TAVR, EVAR, and Cardiac imaging
- Ability to maintain working knowledge of dose data compilation and notification for scans exceeding preset levels
