CT Technologist - Part Time

Job Summary
Perform computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, optimizing technical factors while adhering to ALARA principles to maximize patient safety. Ensure correct orders are obtained, verify patient identification and clinical history, and prepare or administer medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. Evaluate images for proper positioning and acceptable quality, verify archival storage, and assist with interventional procedures. Educate students and other healthcare providers while participating in modality quality or process improvement activities. This part-time role offers 20 weekly hours in a clinical environment at Geisinger Viewmont, serving the greater Pennsylvania community.
Required Qualifications
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) OR Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist and Certification Board (NMTCB)
- ARRT-CT
- Certified CT Technician - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology
- Bachelor's Degree-Related Field of Study
- Minimum of 2 years-Related work experience
- Basic Life Support Certification
- ARRT
