Job Summary
CT Technologist performs Computed Tomography procedures per established department protocols to ensure high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include preparing and administering oral/IV contrast media; performing venipuncture; ensuring accurate patient information, technical settings, and image data entered prior to scanning; processing, recording, and archiving images for evaluation and billing; maintaining and cleaning equipment; assisting with patient transfers; and participating in RIS transactions and on-call coverage. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, radiation safety practices, and effective communication with radiologists and staff. The role supports Vanderbilt Health’s mission and involves collaboration within the radiology team and with other hospital departments.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
- Licensure by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent
- Experience level: Less than 1 year (implicit in

- Knowledge of RIS and PACS workflows
