Job Summary
Conduct computed tomography imaging, review patient history and physician orders, and educate patients regarding procedures and equipment. Prepare and administer contrast media when ordered, monitor patient condition, and report status changes. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, select exposure factors, perform quality control, and analyze results to resolve image quality issues. Enter, transmit, and report scan results, including 3-D post processing when applicable. Operate in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards and patient cooperation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgement
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
