Job Summary
Provides computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Reviews patient history and physician orders, educates patients regarding procedures, administers contrast/media as appropriate, monitors patient condition, selects exposure factors and imaging parameters, ensures safety and quality control, troubleshoots equipment, positions patient, analyzes image quality, and enters/report scan results. May perform 3-D post processing. Requires critical thinking, independent work in a fast-paced environment, and minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in CT by the ARRT
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS or CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- BLS/CPR card valid through sixty days after hire
