Job Summary
Operate CT equipment, power injectors, and medical devices to produce scans for diagnostic and invasive procedures. Provide quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures, ensuring proper sterile technique and patient preparation. Communicate patient needs through verbal and written correspondence, maintain complete documentation, and minimize radiation exposure for both patients and staff. Assist with patient and family education, support research activities, and act as a resource for students and junior techs. Perform other related duties as required. Shifts are 8 PM to 8:30 PM for 36-hour full-time rotations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
- Registered with the ARRT
- Minimum of two (2) years experience
- One (1) year in CT
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association
- Must be available for shift work
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to carry objects up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to stand and walk occasionally to frequently
- Must be able to sit occasionally
- Must be able to perform close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Must be able to handle blood-borne pathogen exposure
- Must be able to handle bio-hazardous waste
- Must be able to handle chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors
- Must be able to handle communicable diseases
- Must be able to handle electrical shock
- Must be able to handle floor surfaces
- Must be able to handle hot/cold temperatures
- Must be able to handle indoor/outdoor conditions
- Must be able to handle latex
- Must be able to handle lighting
- Must be able to handle patient care/handling injuries
- Must be able to handle radiation
- Must be able to handle travel
