Job Summary
Provide computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Review patient history, physician's orders, and scheduling; educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitor patient condition continually, and report/respond to changes in status. Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, implement safety standards, perform quality control procedures on equipment, and troubleshoot, resolve, or report equipment malfunctions. Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyze results to identify quality issues, and take appropriate action including re-positioning or repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results; may perform 3-D post processing. Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Full-time nights shift; pay ranges from $37.35 to $52.29 per hour based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work nights
