Job Summary

Review patient history, physician orders, and schedules; educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications while monitoring patient condition and reporting status changes. Prepare equipment, select exposure factors, implement safety standards, and troubleshoot malfunctions. Position patients and perform imaging procedures, then analyze results to resolve quality issues, including re-positioning or repeating scans. Enter, transmit, and report scan results, potentially performing 3-D post-processing. Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
  • Registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • State licensure if required by law
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
