Job Summary
Review patient history, physician orders, and schedules; educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. Prepare and administer contrast media or medications when ordered, while monitoring patient condition and reporting status changes. Perform computed tomography imaging by selecting exposure factors, positioning patients, and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Analyze results, resolve image quality issues, and enter or transmit scan reports, including 3-D post processing if applicable. This onsite role in the Mobile Stroke unit requires critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- This position is an onsite role
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
