Job Summary
Review patient history, physician orders, and scheduling. Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications within scope of practice while monitoring patient condition and reporting status changes. Prepare equipment, select imaging parameters, implement safety standards, and troubleshoot malfunctions. Position patients and perform CT imaging procedures, analyzing results to resolve quality issues or repeat scans as needed. Enter and transmit scan results, potentially performing 3-D post-processing. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. This onsite role at UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hosp Central in Colorado Springs is PRN with flexible shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
