Job Summary
Review patient history and physician orders to schedule exams, then educate patients on procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media or medications while monitoring patient status and reporting changes. Select appropriate exposure factors, position patients, and perform CT imaging procedures, analyzing results to resolve quality issues or repeat scans as needed. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement safety standards. Requires critical thinking and decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT)
- Registered, and or registry eligible with completion of registry in 12 months in computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
