Job Summary

Operates CT equipment and performs diagnostic CT procedures on patients according to established protocols to assist radiologists in diagnosis and treatment. Maintains radiation safety with shielding and proper exposure factors; prepares examinations for interpretation and documents patient and exam data in RIS/PACS. Provides weekly QA testing of equipment, supports patient care and confidentiality, and may supervise students. May perform intravenous access and administer contrast per protocol and ensures proper sterile technique. Collaborates with radiologists, staff, and other units to deliver quality service, while complying with departmental, hospital, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate AMA approved radiology program
  • Registered with American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
  • CT state license
  • CPR certification may be required
  • Continuing education credits as required by licensure
