Job Summary
Operate CT imaging equipment and accessories consistent with design purposes while minimizing radiation exposure to patients, staff, and the healthcare team. Assess clinical situations with discretion, exercise judgment on professional decisions, and communicate pertinent information to physicians to aid diagnosis and treatment. Maintain accountability for quality of care and demonstrate expertise in patient safety within the legal scope of practice. Perform duties under a full-time schedule from Friday through Sunday, 10:00am to 10:30pm. Maintain current State of Texas licensure, ARRT (CT) registration, and one year of diagnostic technologist experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current State of Texas License as a Radiology Technologist
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Applied Science – Radiology or trained in a hospital-based program (AMA approved)
- ARRT (R), (CT) registered or eligible
- Must obtain ARRT (CT) within 12 months of being registry eligible
- Successful completion of cross-sectional anatomy
- Must have 1 year of experience as a diagnostic technologist
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear
- Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff
