Job Summary
Part-time CT Technologist at MedStar Health (MedStar Washington Hospital Center) working Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00pm to 7:00am. Responsibilities include operating CT equipment to acquire diagnostic images, preparing patients, obtaining medical history, instructing positions for scans, administering contrast media (IV, oral, rectal, and PO) per protocol, communicating with Radiologist, scheduling exams, and maintaining records in the radiology information system. Performs image acquisition, prepares reports, assists with interventional procedures, trains new staff, and ensures aseptic technique and supply management. Requires an associate degree or radiologic technology credential, ARRT registration, and CPR/BLS within 90 days. Salary range is $35.68–$64.71 per hour (annualized to $74,214–$134,597). Location: Charles City, Virginia, USA.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or certificate in radiologic technology from an program accredited by CHEA/USDE METC
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) registration
- CPR/BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Successful completion of a CT certificate or cross-training program preferred
