Job Summary
Perform CAT Scan Radiology studies by obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, and addressing concerns. Execute CT techniques and examinations for abdominal, retroperitoneal, obstetric, and gynecology scans, including radiation therapy localization and minor surgical procedures. Administer IV access and contrast injections per policy, while requesting supplies to maintain necessary materials. Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and accuracy, ensuring high-quality images through proper equipment operation. Transport patients to the CAT Scan room and prepare the space for daily activities. This PRN role offers a flexible schedule within MedStar Health, one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro region.
Required Qualifications
- ARRT or NMTCB license with required paperwork to perform diagnostic CTs on file with the state
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Training in computer-assisted tomography
- CT experience or completion of a certified CT program
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree preferred
