Job Summary
CT Technologist position within the CT Scan Department working part-time days. Responsibilities include performing a variety of CT exams (including invasive procedures and IV insertion), explaining procedures to patients, operating complex imaging equipment to apply ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, administering prescribed contrast media, and assisting in interventional CT exams. Requires completion of a radiologic technology program (2 years), ARRT registration, active CT license in Connecticut, ongoing CEU maintenance, CPR certification, and approved contrast injection training. Strong technical aptitude, knowledge of anatomy/physiology, and computer/teleradiology skills are needed. Required Qualifications
- Completed two years of an approved Radiological Technology Program required
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required
- Current Connecticut state license required (CT Registered)
- Active Connecticut CT license required
- Maintaining CEUs to meet ARRT guidelines required
- CPR - Current AHA Healthcare Provider Certification within 3 months of hire required
- Approved contrast injection training per DI Medical Director requirements required
- Minimum 1-year practical CT technologist experience including IV insertion preferred (at least preferred)
