Job Summary
CT Technologist performs CT scans according to established protocols, demonstrates understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology, maintains radiation safety, assists radiologist with complex CT examinations and tissue biopsies/fluid drainages, prepares/administers contrast media per policy and regulations, educates patients pre/post exam, ensures accurate imaging and documentation, trains Radiologic Technology students, participates in department meetings, maintains credentials, and supports quality improvement initiatives; requires ARRT registration and KY radiologic operator certification with CT certification preferred within 1 year of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a JRC approved program in Radiologic Technology
- Registered with ARRT
- KY Radiation Operators certification
- CT Certification preferred at time of hire but required within 1 year of employment
- BLS
- Experience: Prefer at least 1 year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
