Job Summary
Perform diagnostic CT exams on patients using specialized equipment, ensuring proper identification, order verification, and adherence to radiation safety guidelines. Review images for quality and accuracy, complete studies within time limits, and maintain accurate records of procedures and adverse reactions. Assist students and colleagues in exam protocols, provide patient education, and operate CT equipment and information systems to ensure high-quality imaging results. Shifts run 8pm to 6am or 9pm to 7am, with a requirement for 1+ years of CT experience and ARRT certification. This role supports the radiology team at McKay-Dee Hospital, located in Ogden, Utah.
Required Qualifications
- 7 on-7 off graveyard schedule
- Shifts from 8pm to 6am or 9pm to 7am
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(RT)(R) Radiography Certification/Registration
- Relevant State licensure (where required)
- Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providers
- 1+ years CT experience
- Ability to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Ability to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
- Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients
- Ability to bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment up to and including heavy items
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time
- Must complete the controlled substance module (where applicable)
- Must complete the initial moderate sedation module (where applicable)
- Specific facility-based certifications (if applicable)
- Ability to comply with all applicable Intermountain policies and expectations
- No outside employment or activities that interfere with job responsibilities or create a conflict of interest
