Job Summary
Part-time CT Technologist at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. Operates CT scanner and prepares/positions patients for scans in the Emergency Department and inpatient units. Screens patients for safe scanning and contrast administration; obtains IV access and administers contrast; selects appropriate CT protocols and adjusts scan parameters to obtain diagnostic images. Collaborates with radiologists and referring physicians, follows radiation safety protocols, performs routine QC on equipment, and documents information in the EMR. Maintains knowledge through continuing education and assists in medical alert situations. Communicates effectively with patients and care teams. May assist with minimally invasive procedures. Requires ability to maneuver equipment and meet registry/certification requirements; requires active licensure and CT certification within 12 months of hire. New graduates encouraged to apply; sign-on bonus available. Special Weekend schedule with rotating call and holiday shifts; 32 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- 0-3 years of relevant experience
- Basic Life Support (AHA)
- Active imaging modality certification via ARRT: RT(R) or NMTCB: CNMT (or eligible)
- Advanced CT certification through ARRT or NMTCB within 12 months of hire
- Current ISDH license as Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist
