CT Technologist II - Weekend

Job Summary

Perform CT scans of designated anatomy using professional judgment while adhering to radiation safety precautions and physician specifications. Operate scanners, injectors, and monitors safely; review and repeat images as necessary for optimal quality. Prepare patients by assessing medical history, providing education, and administering contrast media per protocol. Communicate clearly with patients, address concerns, and notify physicians of adverse reactions. Complete technical notes, verify images, and send exams to PACS promptly. Review patient charts prior to initiating exams and attend mandatory department meetings. Maintain confidentiality regarding PHI and HIPAA while practicing accurate, timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical School Diploma Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent
  • Less than 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Ability to provide proper patient care essential to radiologic procedures
  • Knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting to various protocols
  • Proficient use of the advanced software for CT scanning and post procedure processing applications
  • Strong aptitude for CT technology
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and upbeat demeanor
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days
  • RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • CT - Computed Tomography ARRT - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year
  • CNMT - Certified Nuclear Med Tech NMTCB - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
  • Frequent to continuous standing/walking
  • Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
  • Activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree Graduate of Health Science program
  • Knowledge and skills to perform venipuncture
