CT Technologist II - Weekend

Job Summary
Perform CT scans of designated anatomy using professional judgment while adhering to radiation safety precautions and physician specifications. Operate scanners, injectors, and monitors safely; review images for quality, repeat as necessary, and prepare data for PACS interpretation. Administer contrast media per protocol, notify physicians of adverse reactions, and complete technical notes promptly. Prepare patients by assessing needs, reviewing charts, and providing education on procedures. Maintain confidentiality regarding PHI, attend mandatory meetings, and practice accurate, timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work.
Required Qualifications
- Technical School Diploma Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent
- Less than 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Ability to provide proper patient care essential to radiologic procedures
- Knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting to various protocols
- Proficient use of the advanced software for CT scanning and post procedure processing applications
- Strong aptitude for CT technology
- Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and upbeat demeanor
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days
- RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- CT - Computed Tomography ARRT - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year
- CNMT - Certified Nuclear Med Tech NMTCB - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Attends department meetings or other mandatory meetings
- Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Graduate of Health Science program
- Knowledge and skills to perform venipuncture
