CT Technologist II - Weekend

Job Summary
Perform CT scans of designated anatomy using professional judgment while adhering to radiation safety precautions and physician specifications. Prepare patients for procedures by assessing needs, reviewing charts, and providing education on exam progress. Operate scanners, injectors, and monitors safely; review images, repeat scans as necessary, and prepare data for PACS. Administer contrast media per protocol and notify physicians of adverse reactions or condition changes. Complete technical notes promptly and attend mandatory department meetings. Practice accurate, timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity.
Required Qualifications
- Technical School Diploma Graduate of accredited Radiography program or equivalent
- Less than 1 year experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- Ability to provide proper patient care essential to radiologic procedures
- Knowledge and skills to perform scans on patients of all ages, adapting to various protocols
- Proficient use of the advanced software for CT scanning and post procedure processing applications
- Strong aptitude for CT technology
- Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and upbeat demeanor
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days
- RT - Registered Technologist Radiology - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- CT - Computed Tomography ARRT - State of Pennsylvania within 1 Year
- CNMT - Certified Nuclear Med Tech NMTCB - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
- Lift and carry 40-50 lbs
- Frequent to continuous standing/walking
- Patient transporters can walk 8-10 miles per shift
- Attends department meetings or other mandatory meetings
- Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Graduate of Health Science program
- Knowledge and skills to perform venipuncture
