Job Summary
Execute basic clinical competency in CT across all patient populations by selecting appropriate technical factors, administering contrast, and assisting with invasive procedures under CT guidance. Transport patients to the scanner, verify orders, and prepare examination rooms while maintaining aseptic techniques and sterile processes. Perform quality control procedures on equipment, process examinations for interpretation, and distribute final images to the PACS system in a timely manner. Prioritize patient flow, coordinate care with teams and families, and provide patient education to promote comfort and cooperation. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to Image Wisely and Image Gently principles for radiation dose reduction. Work Saturdays and Sundays from 7:00pm to 7:00am.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree
- Certificate in Radiologic Technology from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC)
- Less than 1 year to 6 months of CT experience
- Successful completion of a CT certificate or cross-training program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography [ARRT(R)] and Computed Tomography [ARRT(CT)]
- Registered by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) in Computed Tomography [NMTCB(CT)]
- 10 years of CT scanning experience (applicable only to internal candidates employed prior to July 1, 2026)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
