Job Summary
Perform diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation while adhering to radiation safety principles. Position patients, manipulate technical factors, and assess images for quality and proper annotation. Administer contrast medication with or without power injectors, perform venipuncture, and manage adverse reactions or emergencies. Provide patient instructions, transport, and maintain cleanliness of work areas. Comply with all state and federal regulations, Quality Control standards, and Orlando Health policies. Assist in supervision of student technologists and training of new hires. This role requires a CT Technologist II with at least two years of CT experience and valid Florida licensure. Schedule includes days, 4 10s (7a to 5p), Wed/Thurs/Fri with a rotating 4th day.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of either: An accredited school of Radiologic Technology; or An approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
- Mandatory minimum of two (2) years' CT experience
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Advanced imaging experience and proficiency, including 3D Lab or IR imaging, or Cardiac imaging.
- Site proctor/preceptor for onboarding new hires and cross-training.
- Dual imaging roles, with current proficiency and routinely performing in secondary modality.
- Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.
- Current AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (R) and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (CT); or Valid Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMTCB) in (CT); or Valid Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMTCB) in (CNMT) and valid American Registry of Radiologic Certification (CT).
