Job Summary
Operate computed tomography equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patient bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic interpretation. Perform imaging procedures including general radiography and fluoroscopy, while assessing, planning, and evaluating care for patients from adolescence through geriatric. Generate sagittal and coronal reformatted images, utilize PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images, and maintain accurate records, files, and billing information. Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration, and supply inventory management. Ensure data integrity and adhere to HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines. Requires an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred), ARRT certification, and facility-specific CT license.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT)
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology
- Advanced Certification in the modality of CT
- Fluoroscopy license in state of employment
- Venipuncture certification
