Job Summary
CT Technologist responsible for CT scanning procedures in Diagnostic Imaging under supervision. Performs exams with attention to patient history, prep, and consent; administers contrast media per department guidelines; ensures proper documentation, billing entries, and ICD-10 coding. Optimizes technical factors and positioning to produce high-quality images; maintains infection control and radiation protection (ALARA, shielding, pregnancy status checks); communicates findings and patient needs to radiologists and other healthcare staff; maintains procedure room cleanliness and equipment; supports patient education regarding procedures and post-procedure care. Requires Associate degree or equivalent, Florida DOH licensure, ARRT RT(R) certification (RT(CT) preferred), BLS, and 1–2 years of experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Two Year College equivalent
- Florida State DOH Licensed
- RT(R) registered through ARRT
- BLS through American Heart Association
- RT(CT) registered through ARRT preferred
- 1-2 years of experience preferred
