Job Summary
Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images used to diagnose medical conditions, performing CT as well as general radiography and fluoroscopy. Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation, using PACS and teleradiology to transfer images, and maintain accurate records and patient data in compliance with HIPAA. Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manage supply inventory. Requires ARRT-CT and BLS; Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred; Advanced CT certification required in OR and HI (preferred in CA); venipuncture certification preferred in CA and OR; vaccination requirements apply as a condition of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
- ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Advanced Certification in CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
- Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR
- Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy: Required
