Job Summary
Operates CT equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include preparing/positioning patients, maintaining CT equipment, collaborating with radiologists and healthcare team, administering contrast media per safety protocols, monitoring for adverse reactions, and performing interventional CT procedures (e.g., biopsies, drain placements) as needed. Requires proficiency in CT imaging, patient communication, aseptic technique, radiation safety, and documentation of clinical history and imaging results. Maintains quality control and supports timely diagnostic interpretation in an acute care hospital setting; must maintain regular attendance and comply with policies. Licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and CT certification (or eligibility within six months) plus BCLS are required.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
- CT - Computed Tomography certification or eligibility to obtain within six (6) months of hire required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire required
