Job Summary
Conduct quality imaging and patient care within two or more modalities, producing images for licensed practitioner interpretation. Operate sophisticated equipment for CT and X-ray examinations in accordance with ACR, ARRT, and state regulations. Explain procedures to patients and ensure competency before performance. Perform duties under the direction of the Radiologist and Radiology Director/Supervisor. This role offers a 40-hour weekly schedule with on-the-job training available for CT procedures. The position is located at MUSC Florence Medical Center in Florence, SC, or Black River Medical Center in Cades, SC, serving northeastern South Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA)
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
- One year of radiologic experience
- Must obtain Advanced Modality registration within 1 year of hire date
