Job Summary
CT Technologist - Float Team (Region Four) at Wellstar Grovetown, GA. Perform CT exams per physician orders and safety standards; verify patient identity; screen for contraindications; explain procedures with AIDET; prepare and position patients; establish IV access; administer contrast media safely; operate CT scanners and power injectors; optimize technique to minimize radiation dose (ALARA); evaluate image quality and involve radiologist as needed; complete documentation in RIS/PACS; perform QC checks and maintain regulatory standards; support cross-coverage and ensure rooms are stocked and clean. Requires 2 years CT and 2 years radiologic technologist experience, ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS, and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program; role emphasizes flexible shifts and full-time benefits across Region Four facilities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience in a hospital setting
- ARRT-R (Radiography)
- ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association
