Job Summary
CT Technologists administer ionizing radiation for various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. They must ensure the correct order is obtained, identify and prepare patients, document clinical history, and utilize appropriate imaging protocols whilst maximizing patient safety. Responsibilities include evaluating images for quality, monitoring and educating students, and assisting licensed practitioners with interventive procedures. Ideal candidates should have certification as AT RT or NMTCB, 5 years of related experience, and a Graduate from a Radiologic Technology program.
Required Qualifications
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hire
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- Radiography (R) certification
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field of Study
Additional Requirements
- Applicants hired after March 10, 2024, must complete steps required for advancing to level 2, including advanced certification, within 24 months of hire.
- Does not qualify for J-1 waiver.
