Job Summary

Operate CT equipment, power injectors, and other medical devices to produce diagnostic scans and invasive procedures while ensuring complete and accurate documentation. Prepare patients using proper sterile technique, communicate their needs through verbal and written correspondence, and provide direct care during complex technical procedures. Minimize radiation exposure for both patients and staff, assist with patient and family education, and support research activities as needed. Act as a resource for students and junior technicians while performing other related duties required by the department.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Registered with the ARRT
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience
  • One (1) year in CT
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs
  • Occasional to frequent standing & walking
  • Occasional sitting
  • Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
  • Blood-borne pathogen exposure
  • Bio-hazardous waste
  • Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors
  • Communicable diseases
  • Electrical shock
  • Floor Surfaces
  • Hot/Cold Temperatures
  • Indoor/Outdoor conditions
  • Latex
  • Lighting
  • Patient care/handling injuries
  • Radiation
  • Shift work
  • Travel may be required
  • Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators
