Job Summary
Capture precise diagnostic images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs using CT protocols for trauma, perfusions, neuro, cardiac, and interventional procedures. Perform patient positioning, maintain radiation safety with ALARA principles, and execute work-ups including reconstructions on the 3-D workstation. Accurately enter patient data into the PAC system and Radnet, complete department-specific forms, and ensure high-quality exams while following National Patient Safety Goals. This role supports radiologists in diagnosing diverse medical conditions at Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of approved American of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved RadiologicTechnologist Program
- Medical Radiographer: AZ
- CT Radiology Tech: AZ
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
- Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
- American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow
- Various patient positioning techniques
- Ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses
- Good radiation safety practices for patients, self and others
- Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitatus
- Competency performing procedures
- Follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier
- Follows National Patient Safety Goals for hand hygiene
- Follows National Patient Safety Goals for universal precautions
- Accurately enters, selects and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system
- Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation
- Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol
- Completes exams in Radnet
