Job Summary
The CT technologist performs CT examinations on patients, following approved radiologist protocols. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, providing guidance to team members, and ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures. The role requires the administration of IV contrast and oral contrast media, operation of CT imaging equipment, and collaboration with medical staff. The position mandates compliance with safety regulations and participation in performance improvement studies. Candidates must hold relevant licensure and certifications and possess experience in imaging techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited college of Radiologic Technology
- Registered Radiologic Technologist by ARRT
- SCRQSA Certification required
- Current CPR certification required
- Completes required annual competency, CPR, Educode
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and training in high tech imaging modalities, equipment and procedures
- Ability to obtain thorough and accurate patient medical history
- Experience in performing quality control and calibration of imaging equipment
