Job Summary
Provides CT imaging under physician orders with prioritization of procedural patient education to ensure mutual understanding and cooperation. Safely administers contrast media or associated imaging medications while monitoring patient condition. Responds to and reports changes in patient condition as appropriate. Implements techniques to yield image clarity, quality control and equipment functionality based on established Radiology practices. May perform 3-D post processing while entering, transmitting and reporting scan results. Works within a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes and supports imaging quality and safety at the point of care. The role includes direct patient care in imaging procedures, precepting newer staff, adapting to a fast-paced clinical environment, and contributing to ongoing professional development. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) and registered, or registry eligible with completion of registry in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- State licensure if required by law.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
- ARRT Computed Tomography (CT).
- Registered Radiologic Technologist.
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
