Job Summary
Operate head or body x-ray scanners to produce cross-sectional images of human anatomy for radiologist diagnosis. Perform routine and special CT exams adhering to established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose. Complete all exams and documentation in Computerized Health Information and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems, accurately identifying charges and addressing errors. Educate and prepare patients for examinations to enhance understanding and cooperation while demonstrating commitment to safe practices and ALARA principles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program
- Will accept any of the licenses: ARRT: RT(R)(CT) RT(N)(CT)
- NMTCB: CNMT, NMTCB(CT)
- Combination of ARRT RT(N) and NMTCB(CT) or CNMT and ARRT(CT)
- Combination of ARRT RT(R) and NMTCB(CT) or ARRT RT(T) and NMTCB(CT)
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
