Job Summary
Capture precise diagnostic images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs to enable accurate medical diagnoses. Perform patient assessments, obtain histories, and provide clear explanations of procedures while ensuring informed consent and practicing aseptic techniques. Select proper equipment settings, verify radiation safety standards including "Image Gently" and "Image Wisely," and maintain equipment through daily quality tests and performance checks. Evaluate image quality, report equipment issues, and utilize incident reporting systems for patient or supply concerns. Participate in department quality improvement projects and adhere to CMS, Joint Commission, and state regulations. Requires a Radiologic Technology program graduate, ARRT certification, and Basic Life Support.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program
- Basic Life Support - CPR
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
- Medical Radiographer: IA
- Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
