Job Summary
Prepare patients, administer contrast dye, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images under the supervision of a board-certified radiologist. Analyze patient physical condition, age, and suspected pathology to determine proper technique, while ensuring radiation safety and room stock levels. Correctly mark images with time and body position, explain procedures, and assist patients in transferring to and off the examination table. Observe equipment for proper functioning, report malfunctions, and maintain patient comfort throughout the examination. Properly use the Radiology Information System to arrive, change settings if necessary, and complete cases. This role operates within the Cat Scan department at RWJBarnabas Health in New Brunswick, offering night shifts with an hourly pay range of $47.67 to $56.74.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- CT Certification
- NJ License required
- Previous CT experience required
- Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association
