Job Summary
Position patients to obtain CT studies per standard operating procedures, preparing patients for examinations and administering cleansing preps and contrast agents under radiologist direction. Ensure proper radiation protection techniques are applied and assist physicians during examinations. Manage patient scheduling, smooth flow, and documentation while performing quality control of Cat scan examinations. Maintain equipment logs, troubleshoot issues, and restock supplies. Enter studies into RIS and HIS systems, track cases, and split/fix studies in PACS as necessary. Complete in-service training and assist in instructing student technologists.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an A.M.A. approved school of Radiography Education
- ARRT or CRT
- State of New Jersey License
Desired Qualifications
- Three years hospital experience as a staff technologist
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
