Job Summary
Prepare patients, administer contrast dye, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images under the supervision of a board-certified radiologist. Analyze patient physical condition and suspected pathology to determine proper technique, ensuring radiation safety and patient comfort throughout the examination. Correctly mark images with time and body position, properly prepare and stock the room, and explain procedures while assisting patients with transfers. Observe equipment for proper functioning and report malfunctions to the supervisor, utilizing the Radiology Information System to complete cases. Maintain required BLS certification and ensure all regulatory standards are met during night shifts at RWJBarnabas Health.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- CT Certification
- NJ License required
- Previous CT experience required
- Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association
