Job Summary
Prepare patients, administer contrast dye, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images under the supervision of a board-certified radiologist. Analyze patient physical condition, age, and suspected pathology to determine proper technique, then correctly mark images with time and body position. Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures while assisting with transfers to and off the examination table. Properly prepare and stock the room before procedures, clean after patients exit, and observe equipment for malfunctions. Use the Radiology Information System to arrive, change settings if necessary, and complete cases. Maintain required BLS certification and adhere to radiation safety protocols during night shifts at Main Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- CT Certification
- NJ License required
- Previous CT experience required
- Maintains required BLS Heart Saver/Health Care Provider through American Heart Association
