Job Summary
Perform computerized tomography procedures as prescribed by a physician, instruct patients on proper requirements, and ascertain contradictions to the procedure based on symptoms and medical history. Prepare patients for exams, position them correctly, administer IV and oral contrast, and assist at the end of the procedure while assuring all consent forms are signed. Correctly process exam information via direct computer entry, maintain a clean and safe work area complying with OSHA and HIPAA, and recognize contrast media reactions to intervene or notify EMS. Report equipment malfunctions, participate in quality assurance monitoring, and assist with clerical duties and patient record management. Full-time role (32-40 hours/week) at Fair Oaks Outpatient Imaging Center.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Completion of a training program in imaging technology from an accredited school
- Must be a registered CT technologist
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Be able to lift and move patients as sometimes required
