Job Summary
Perform computerized tomography and x-ray procedures as prescribed by a physician, instructing patients on proper requirements and administering IV/oral contrast. Prepare patients for exams by explaining the procedure, positioning them correctly, and ensuring all consent forms are signed. Ascertain areas of injury and review medical history to assist the physician in reporting accurate diagnoses while recognizing reactions to contrast media and intervening when necessary. Correctly process exam information via direct computer entry, maintain a clean and safe work area complying with OSHA and HIPAA, and report equipment malfunctions. Assist with clerical duties, manage patient records, and participate in quality assurance monitoring efforts. Full-time (32-40 hours/week) or part-time roles available at Lansdowne Outpatient Imaging Centers.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent
- Completion of a training program in imaging technology from an accredited school
- Must be a registered CT technologist
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Must hold a current VA Radiologic license
- Be able to lift and move patients as sometimes required
Desired Qualifications
- Certain considerations will be given to recent graduates who will become registered within one year of employment
