CT Technologist - Chabert - full time

Job Summary
Assess patients and safely perform routine CT procedures in accordance with prescribed radiation safety protocols. Independently operate equipment to complete imaging procedures, including IV placement, and review images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality. Mentor junior staff and students while assisting attending physicians with interventional procedures requiring ultrasonic guidance. Verify physician orders, utilize radiology information systems, and complete timely quality control procedures per regulatory standards. Adapt communication styles to diverse patient populations and maintain strict confidentiality. Requires BLS, ARRT certification, and advanced CT certification; flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- ARRT registered (RT) and radiography (R) and/OR computed tomography (CT) certified and/OR NMTCB registered (CNMT) and/or unrestricted state license
- Documented training and experience in CT
- Documented training and experience in operating CT equipment and radiation physics and protection
- Advanced certification in CT required by an organization recognized by the ACR Registry
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of CT procedures and technical language
- Ability to work with and maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
- Ability to work self-directed and to function without direct supervision
- Ability and willingness to have and maintain flexibility in work duties and hours (may require flexible schedule such as nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, etc.)
- General knowledge of cardiac anatomy, Doppler physics, and the hemodynamics of blood flow in relation to the various disease states
- Skills to preliminarily identify stenosis or occlusion based on nationally published criteria
- Skills to assist attending physicians with interventional procedures requiring ultrasonic guidance
- Ability to provide care and/or support services in a manner consistent with the patient's age, social, spiritual, and cultural needs and other special consideration
Desired Qualifications
- Clinical CT experience
- Advanced certification in CT required by an organization recognized by the ACR Registry
